Andy Carroll graduated from Falmouth College of Arts in 1995 after winning a design award with Proctor & Stevenson. He took up their nice offer of a job and had fun sharing a studio with Vince and learning the ropes in the design industry. After a change of scene at a branding agency he bravely decided to go it alone in 2002 and find his own clients. Luckily he found some and has been working happily ever after. His interests are beer and any sport. Even darts.
Vincent Southall graduated from Newcastle University in 1996. After a short stint working in his native Nottingham, he decided to move to Bristol. Nottingham's loss was Bristol's gain, and in 1997 Vince joined Proctor & Stevenson where another perk was getting to share space with Andy. In 2007 Vince joined us at design146 and now works with for his own clients and with us when he can spare the time. His hobbies are dangerously fast motorbikes and real ale.
Claire has loads of experience as a designer and account manager and is helping to give design146 a bit of much needed 'structure'. She's encouraging new clients to work with us and telling everyone how good we are. Claire is helping look after existing clients too, so no one feels left out. As well as targets and advertising she's also introduced 'cake Thursday', all in all morale has gone up 100%.
Emma Carroll has a degree in History of Design and
the Visual Arts in but more practically, over 10 years experience of managing a design studio and being nice to clients. In 2004 she realised nagging Andy could be a full time job and jumped at the chance to help out. She handles all the important paperwork stuff, chats to clients about what they need and keeps a close eye on the biscuit supply. She's also great at providing nice sarnies for meetings. Her favourite things are biscuits and books. Preferably enjoyed together.
Humphrey is the sleeping partner at design146. Literally. His snores are quite deafening. Being a 4 and a half year old bulldog is hard work so he likes to take it easy. His main task is meeting and greeting visitors, in-studio entertainment and clearing up in the kitchen floor area after lunch.
